Friarswood Vets is such a lovely, personal vets. All the staff genuinely care about your fur baby. We have recently moved vets from a large company that has let us down numerous times over the past 12 years and shown a lack of care, and has provided very poor advice and treatment, and within an hour of registering at Friarswood we felt at home due to great communication showing care and empathy. On our first visit we witnessed dogs with wagging tails and staff actually talking to the animals there, something I have never witnessed at our previous vets. Our boy himself appeared calm and relaxed there, whereas he's usually terrified due to incidents at the previous vets. We were not rushed at our consultation and our concerns were discussed in depth, with the lovely vet in full agreement that he would put our dogs needs first and always advise if he felt we were wrong about anything or our decisions weren't right for our boy. We feel that Friarswood is a perfect vets and only regret not going there earlier. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND to all fur baby parents.

My cat was unfortunately brought in here deceased, they called me up after checking her microchip and were just fantastic with us, gave us time alone with her to say our goodbyes, paw prints a card, some seeds to scatter in her honour and we're not even signed up to this vets. I can assure you when we're ready to move on and adopt another cat we're coming to you guys. Thank you for making this difficult time a little easier.

We've been with this practice for 20 years. They are super professional, kind and patient. Every vet we've seen has been so gentle and kind to our cats, one of which was super nervous. Both of our cats have passed away now (they were 19 and 18 years old) but if we have pets again we'd register them with friarswood vets in a heartbeat.

I think it’s a testament to Friarswood that they made the most awful experience of having my 20-year old cat Lily euthanised, painless. They treated her with such humanity and dignity. Their aftercare has been outstanding. Thank you Friarswood. She spent 20 happy years with you with only a 12 month break as I had to use another vet for a home visit (terrible decision). You are outstanding. Sincerely, thank you. I am so glad Lily was under your care for this.

Early days but having been with our previous vets for over 15 years with different dogs we had a great first visit with FW, the front of house are lovely and knowledgeable. We left our last vets due to the recent inconsistency in staff, care and some of the vets being nervous around our dog (scary staffy cross 🙄) even asking on the first meeting to muzzle her just to examine her! Arran had never met our dog but was calm and attentive, he even sat on the floor to check her over and chat to her - and left uninjured! Imagine 😂 We all left happy with the care and advice given. Thank you for restoring our faith in vets.

Our 9 week old kitten Pudding has his first visit to the Vets yesterday for a health check and first vaccination. The reception was warm and friendly and the receptionist checked us in promptly. We were offered a cat carrier to borrow (ours unfortunately did not get delivered in time). We waited less than five minutes to be called in to the clinic room where again we were greeted by a very friendly vet. Pudding seemed to be at ease straight away and the vet was very kind and gentle while Pudding had his health check, nail clipping and first vaccination. We were given some advice and a vaccination card. The vet explained everything she was doing, and the outcome such as a healthy heart, clear lungs, eyes, ears and nose. We were shown back into the reception and set up on a kitten plan which in my opinion is competitively priced and covers all the essentials. We were able to book in with ease for Puddings next appointment. Overall we are very happy with the service and although price does not come into it, it is nice to be able to take advantage of an affordable pet plan.
