#6 Vet in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire
White Cross Vets Wolstanton is part of the White Cross Vets group (the website describes 21 practices across the North and Midlands). Based on owner reports, this branch is used for routine appointments and ongoing problem-solving (including repeat visits for separate issues), and it also provides Animal Health Certificates for travel. Several reviewers describe a “kept a regular eye on our dog” style of follow-up and vets handling difficult-to-examine dogs (one owner specifically mentions a German Shepherd that was hard to manage but still had a temperature taken). Price is a deciding factor in the reviews: some owners feel bills were high for what was done, including a follow-up that one reviewer says lasted “3 minutes” and an Animal Health Certificate charge they felt was out of line.

Excellent practice with great vets and all the staff that work there. Very caring and thorough in their approach to everything. I would highly recommend this practise for anyone looking at a new vets.

Very expensive. According to Google the cost is upto the vets for the Animal health certificate we require to travel. From £50-£250. Yet you charge £300. I have had this certificate from a different vet for £100.

After spending £170 on a first visit with my dog for a consultation and meds I took him again a few weeks later for a follow up… in either the vet for 3 minutes…no meds and got a bill for £61… to say I’m annoyed is an understatement…I will be looking for a new vet for sure.

I've had to use them a few times in as many weeks, and they have been fantastic. My dog is so much better from separate issues that have made her feel unwell for a long while. We changed vets to white Cross after not getting our dog any better attending our previous vets multiple times. I was nervous swapping but am so glad I did. I finally have a happy dog again.

Very friendly, lovely vet who understood how difficult our German shepherd is, but still managed to take his temperature. Lovely ladies on reception

I recently changed to White Cross vets because I became very disappointed with my regular vet of 5 years. I have been coming here for about a month now and have been pleasantly surprised!. - We always get a lovely welcome when we walk through the door and my Corgi girl loves the staff. The receptionists Dani & Danielle are wonderful and the vet Laura has offered us reassuring advice and has kept a regular eye on our dog which is great! - also we have joined the wellness plan so we never have to pay for a consult again. We are very happy!.
